Toluca 28 represents the enormous effort made by Fundacion Carlos Slim for the reconstruction of some of the buildings affected by the Mexico City 2017 earthquake. The project returned their home to the families who lost it due to the collapse with this 8 level multi-familiar building.

IASA participated in the development for the solution, engineering, manufacturing and installation of façades and ventilation elements.

The main need for the execution of the project was to develop an exterior frame system the would function as the main element for fastening 3 elements: metal façade, windows and interior walls. This was looking for the façade to fit within a limited budget without letting go the need for a aesthetic sense, airtightness to the interior and safety in the event of earthquake.
